Senator Eddy Oketch: No one has convinced ODM that there is a better agenda out there than the President has. So, ODM will stick with him towards the re-election, and if that is the case, ODM will have the Deputy President position because that will be an anchor.

Former Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa has announced her exit from President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA), effectively ending her association with the ruling party.

In a press briefing on Thursday, July 30, Jumwa said she arrived at the decision after 'deep reflection, heartfelt prayer and extensive consultations' with the people she serves.

According to the former CS who previously served in Ruto's administration as the CS for Gender, Culture, the Arts, and Heritage, she has left the ruling party with immediate effect, with many now waiting for her next move and political ambitions.

After deep reflection, heartfelt prayer and countless consultations with the people I serve, I have made one of the most difficult decisions of my political life," Jumwa stated.

"From today, Aisha Jumwa Katana is no longer a member of the United Democratic Alliance," she added.
