Tickets for Bayern-Ajax clash to go on sale at 6pm, starting at Sh2,500
Tickets for the historic Bayern Munich versus Ajax Amsterdam match at the Raila Odinga International Stadium will go on sale on Thursday evening, November 5, with the cheapest seats priced at Sh2,500.
The sale of tickets for the January 5, 2027, encounter will open at 6pm through the official Talanta Sports City website, with organisers warning fans against purchasing from unauthorised sellers.
“Official tickets for the inaugural Bayern Munich versus Ajax Amsterdam match will be available exclusively through the official Talanta Sports City website,” the organisers said, urging supporters to use authorised channels to avoid fraud and invalid tickets.
Additional seating categories and prices will be displayed on the ticketing platform, where fans will also be able to select their preferred seats during the purchasing process.
There will be no physical ticket sales at the stadium or any other location, meaning supporters must complete their purchases online.
The organisers have also outlined strict conditions on ticket transfers, refunds and entry as they prepare for what is expected to be a major sporting event at the new facility.
Fans who purchase tickets but are unable to attend will not be eligible for refunds or cancellations.
The exception will be if the match itself is cancelled, in which case refunds will be processed in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.
Tickets can, however, be transferred to another person through the “My tickets” section of the ticketing platform.
To transfer a ticket, the buyer will select the ticket, choose the “Send to a guest” option and provide the recipient’s full name and mobile number.
The recipient will receive an SMS containing a link to the ticket and a verification code.
Once the recipient opens the ticket, the original buyer's copy becomes invalid and a new entry code is generated.
A transfer can be reversed before the recipient accepts it.
Personal passes and invitations cannot be transferred, while recipients will not be allowed to pass tickets on to another person.
Fans are, however, allowed to purchase up to 10 tickets per order.
On the website, fans can search "Find my seats" which finds up to 4 side by side with bigger groups getting blocks close together, for example 4 + 2.
The stadium gates will open at 11am on January 5, while kick-off is scheduled for 8.15pm.
Fans have been advised to arrive early to allow time for security checks, ticket validation and locating their seats.
“Every attendee, including children, must have a valid paid ticket and an allocated seat,” the organisers said, adding that children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.
Outside food and beverages will not be allowed into the stadium. Fans will also be required to carry valid event tickets and any identification required under the entry conditions.
The venue has provisions intended to support persons with disabilities, including accessible seating, designated entrances, mobility assistance and accessible washrooms.
Fans requiring such services have been advised to check the accessibility information on the ticketing platform or contact the stadium's customer support team.
For premium experiences, skyboxes will be booked through hospitality@talantasportscity.com, while Platinum and Gold hospitality packages will be available through the official website.
Journalists, photographers and videographers seeking to cover the match will be required to apply for accreditation through press@talantasportscity.com.
The organisers said applications would be subject to approval and submission would not guarantee access.
The match, which brings two of Europe's most decorated clubs to Nairobi, is expected to be a major test for the new stadium as Kenya builds momentum towards hosting the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
