Gachagua announces death of elder sister Eunice Nyangari
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has announced the death of his firstborn sister, Eunice Nyangari Gachagua, who passed away in Naro Moru, Nyeri county.
In a condolence message on Friday morning, Gachagua said the family was mourning the loss of Nyangari, who died on Thursday, November 5, aged 77.
He described her as a central figure in the family, noting that she had taken up a motherly role following the death of their mother, Martha Kirigo Gachagua, several years ago.
The ex-DP said Nyangari had been a source of guidance and emotional support to the family, making her death a significant loss to her siblings and relatives.
"The late Eunice has been the mother figure in our family since the demise of our mother seven years ago," he said.
The former Deputy President extended his condolences to Nyangari's immediate family, including her daughter Waithera, son Murimi, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He also sent his condolences to the wider Reriani family, acknowledging the pain of losing Nyangari.
Gachagua expressed gratitude for the 77 years Nyangari lived, describing her as a warm and cheerful person whose presence brought happiness to those around her.
"We thank God for the 77 years she lived happily here on earth. We will deeply miss her wise counsel, warmth and the precious moments we shared," he stated.
He added that Nyangari was a happy soul who had left lasting memories among members of the family.
The former Deputy President concluded his message with a prayer for her soul to rest in peace, asking that perpetual light shine upon her forevermore
