PS Omollo urges calm at Elvis ‘Beast’ Otieno burial

Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration Raymond Omollo has urged students and mourners attending the burial of the late Elvis “Beast” Otieno to maintain peace and calm during the ceremony.

Omollo made the appeal when he visited Otieno’s family as relatives and friends gathered to lay him to rest.

The PS also conveyed his condolences to Otieno’s family, the Technical University of Mombasa fraternity and the families of two students who died in an accident involving students travelling from Mombasa to attend the burial.

Omollo said three students remain in hospital, while most of those injured had been discharged. He wished those still receiving treatment a full recovery.

He urged mourners to ensure that nothing occurs during the burial that could dishonour Otieno or cause further pain to his family.

Omollo also called on young people to emulate what he described as Otieno’s commitment to education, youth leadership, community service and support for his family.
