Uhuru treated to surprise birthday at a wedding

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta was on Sunday treated to a surprise birthday celebration as he attended a wedding.

In videos seen by The Star, the former President was in the company of his spouse Margaret and Brother Muhoho Kenyatta, among other individuals.

Uhuru looked stunned when suddenly those present started singing him a happy birthday.

The former President turned 64 on Sunday.

The newlyweds then walked to Uhuru as they sang the birthday song with a cake, which the former President then cut.

Uhuru Kenyatta was born on October 26, 1961, to the first president of Kenya, Jomo Kenyatta, and his fourth wife, Mama Ngina Kenyatta (née Muhoho).

The second born in the family, he has two sisters, Christine (born 1953), Anna Nyokabi (born 1963), and a brother, Muhoho Kenyatta (born 1965).

As the videos went viral on social media, Kenyans from all walks of life had words to say to the former Head of State, even as they wished him well and good healt,h and he begins his 64th year

Mugo wa Kibiru said "Happy birthday son of Jomo, Uhuru Kenyatta. Enjoy your special day Rais."

Joseph Mbugua added, "Happy birthday, Your Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, CGH, as well as good health and many more turnings."

"When Dr. Uhuru Kenyatta is happy, all Kenyans are happy. Happy belated birthday, Kamwana!" said Cornelius Ronoh.

Martin K: "I send warm regards to H.E @4thPresidentKE Hon. Uhuru CGH as he celebrates blessings of another year. Happy birthday and may Almighty God grant you good health and long life. What you did to us in Kamburu ward, Lari and as Kenyans during your tenure will never be forgotten."

"Happy Birthday to you Uhuru Kenyatta. You never hid truth to your people, Kikuyus," Makau Mully said.

Another Jame said, "Happy Birthday Rtd President uhuru Kenyatta. He is the new Baba,Loved."

"Bazuu Uhuru Kenyatta anapendwa tu bure. Happy Birthday Mr. President," stated Maina Ndung'u.

Happy belated birthday to my favourite president! The one and only Uhuru Kenyatta!!" Zarah Muhamud said.

Ellyanne Chlystun said, "To my President Uhuru Kenyatta and tree growing partner happy birthday. Yabarikiwe malango yako."

“Happy birthday Uhuru Kenyatta! You are truly loved and missed!” Bantu Nyakio said.
