WHAT'S GOING ON AT KATHEKA BOYS KITUI?
đ¨ Whatâs going on at Katheka Boys, Kitui? On May 7th, the school principal, Mr. Muthui, sent home 20 Form 4 boys for âdisrespecting authority.â This principal is known for his arrogance & appetite for money. They were suspended for 14 days. But when parents took them back, they were told to first, clear ALL school fees, remedial fees, and motivational fees. Some parents, under this tough economy, couldnât afford it. So, the boys are still at home. But those who paid were asked to take the boy for counseling and bring a certificate as proof. Even after the parents brought the certificate, some parents ,who couldn't oil his mouth, were told to come back after 7 more days. The other kids were allowed back , with no conditions. The oil removed the counseling, provided receipts and removed the wait time. đ So we ask: 1. Whatâs the link between discipline and fees? 2. Is this about student behavior or a way to extort parents? 3. How can Form 4 students be kept out of school over unclear and unfair rules â when exams are around the corner? The soft-spoken guyâs belly keeps growing â fed not by school meals, but by the hard-earned sweat of parents trying to get their children back in class.
