Ruto: Hii fujo yote wananiletea, mbona hawakuletea Uhuru, Kibaki

President William Ruto has questioned why the Opposition leaders have been more aggressive and confrontational towards his administration compared to previous heads of state.

Speaking during the launch of an affordable housing project in Kilimani, Nairobi, Ruto expressed concern over the unprecedented level of chaos and hostility directed at his government.

Hii fujo yote wananiletea ni ya nini. Mbona hawakuletea Uhuru, mbona hawakuletea Kibaki (Why cause all the chaos during my time? Why did they cause chaos during President Kibaki's time and President Uhuru's?" Ruto asked rhetorically, highlighting that his predecessors, Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta, did not face the same intensity of opposition-led disruptions.

He further pondered the reasons behind the apparent disdain and arrogance targeted at him personally.

"Let us sort out our problems. Let us put aside tribalism, hatred, and arrogance. We are all Kenyans and there is no Kenyan better than the other," he urged, calling for unity and mutual respect among citizens.

Ruto also issued a stern warning against attempts to destabilise the country through unconstitutional means.

"This country will not be destroyed by a few people who are impatient and who want a change of government using unconstitutional means. It is not going to happen," he emphasised, underscoring his commitment to uphold the rule of law and democratic principles.

In a direct message to his political opponents, the President challenged them to focus on constructive engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

"If you believe you have better plans for Kenya, prepare your manifesto and present it to the Kenyan people in 2027," he said, encouraging a peaceful and democratic path forward.
